The Gentle is the soft, ceaseless pressure of wind: not a blow but a steady, repeated influence that seeps into every gap, the way a constant breeze slowly bends a whole field of grain. Progress here is modest and incremental, so it helps to fix on a clear direction and to seek the guidance of someone who already sees the whole. The Image is wind upon wind, one gust following the last; the wise person works this way too, issuing clear and consistent direction and letting it sink in over time until it reshapes how people actually live.

Hidden, undermining forces are stirring out of sight, like something concealed beneath the bed. Draw them into the open through patient, thorough searching, calling freely on every diligent helper and adviser you can; exposing what was buried brings good fortune and clears you of blame.

Turning the same question over and over, prying at it long past any use, hardens penetration into paralysis. This anxious, repeated hesitation brings shame, because the moment for deciding has already slipped away.

Regret dissolves and the effort yields plainly: like a successful hunt that takes game of three kinds, enough to share all around. Humility joined to decisive action brings full, well-earned returns.

Steadiness brings good fortune and regret fades; though there was no auspicious beginning, the ending is sound, and nothing fails to advance. Move deliberately around any change, weighing the days before it and the days after, and the correction takes firm hold for good fortune.

Penetration carried to its extreme defeats itself, like searching so far beneath the bed that nothing is left to stand on. You have given away your resources and the very tool you worked with; pressing on from here only leads to misfortune.
